That was kind of an ad more than a story. :|

was it fast? did it put down a competitive lap? could it have done a race number of laps? Is there any unique tech or problem solving?

I mean, cool there's another electric.

There's some specs on their website

https://electricsuperbiketwente.nl/superbikes/vector-st/

Given 8kW/h and about 214hp I'm gonna say it won't have many laps in it, but should be quick for what it can manage.

Well...   for a pro racer it probably won't last thru the race,  for an ameteur like me, it'd probably hold you through one session.
It's a good hundred pounds or so lighter than the average e race bike,  thats a big plus.  It's also running 800 volt too if I read that right, that'll help a lot as well, you are going to halve the amps you are pulling, that will take it easier on the battery, won't get as bad a sag on them when loading it up.

Could be interesting,  id like to see one of em.    How does it charge, CCS or wall plug in?

If memory serves these are the guys that Dutch Energica dealer and amateur racer Marchel Bulthuis hates with a passion. Several years back they brought an unsafe prototype to a track and it malfunctioned causing a fire. In response, Dutch tracks universally banned all electric motorcycles from their tracks for something like a year. Marchel was piiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiissed.

Some years back at a local AHRMA event there was an electric motorcycle class. There were a few guys running modified production Zeros and Brammos but to me the most interesting bikes were the ones brought by various university engineering teams. My friend and I spent a long time talking to the team from Quebec. They were very enthusiastic about their bike and were more than happy to talk with us. Their bike was pretty much the fastest bike on the track that day, but sadly never completed a race. It broke down and the rider rode it up on to the grass out of the way. Fortunately no fires; but it was great fun seeing these prototypes in action. There were supposed to be some teams at this year's event but no one showed up and there weren't any electric bikes competing at all.

IM getting ready to start racing in the AHRMA here, probably starting next season.  Im a member and getting the info, working on getting my license and seeing what I can get into.  I think they have the lightning class for electric bikes.  Not sure what else I might be able to get into.  I really want to get the Energica out there and have some fun but so far this year been a bit of a challenge for me.

from what I seen thou it doesn't look like there are a hell of a lot of races though, maybe only a few a year.

On the university bikes,  they are also experimenting with some bikes that are running on a 48 volt but but massive stupid amps and they are doing pretty well with some of them.

Please give my best to Arthur Kowitz, Dick Illman, and Pete Nicolosi if any of them are present. Good folks, especially Arthur.

Will do Morgan.  Id only be doing the SE region though for starts,  I have yet to get to any meetings though, still trying to navigate my way through everything here, and learning it all.
