Heart Beat
« on: November 11, 2023, 05:57:33 AM »

While working in my shop and Ribelle parked on lift in off mode, I noticed heart beat light come on and go through it's motions and then turn off.
What about that? Is that some kind of diagnostic procedure?

Ive seen my 2023 ss9 do that as well. It also turns on my USB ports and wakes up anything attached. Then the next time I ride my GPS would be dead and need to charge back up.
Not sure why.

Do your bikes have the keyless fob and you're getting near it perhaps? I've never had mine do this so I'm just thinking out loud.

I see this all the time. My GPS is connected to the USB plug and it is common for the GPS not to turn off after it gets turned on by the self-check or whatever it is called. I have a keyed system.

Do you have a charging cord plugged in?
I believe if the cord is plugged in, whether it's charging or not, it'll check every few hours to see if it needs a charge.
Which, of course, would cycle things.
so after being charged, bike is off, cord still plugged in, bike at 100 percent.   Two hours later, it cycles power to do it's self check, ie do I need a top off?

Sounds like the opening scene to a Terminator reboot...

The bike does a scheduled self check, which lights the heart beat. Heard from my distributor years ago.
