Hello,

Yes, AFAIK, every option was included except for the keyless FOB that cost around $400.00 US more. I ordered that late, so I am not sure if I have it or not. I will know more on Tuesday when I look at my Experia for the very first time.

It was not included. I don't believe they are supplying one either. It will have to be purchased after. Mine did not come with one.

Did you order the Launch Edition in June?  If so, it was shown with a  centerstand. It will piss me off if I don't have a centerstand on mine.  I guess I will know for sure on Tuesday.

A center stand was shown in the initial pics, that’s correct. But it was not listed as accessory, nor mentioned in the summary. So they are not part of the launch edition configuration.
The only configurable options for the LE have been heated grips and keyless; whereas all bikes are shipped with the standard right switch set from Italian supplier Domino that always includes the switch & symbol on it, but not the grips itself installed.
And some of the current options like center stand & GPS bracket are on back order from Energica, they will ship „soon“. Others like the sports screen are available - there‘s a picture on FB from Australia showing that.

So, Don, if you don‘t have your center stand listed somewhere in your order confirmation, there‘s still a tiny chance that the dealer has added them as bonus but besides this I would expect you will get no heated grips. I strongly believe this should be standard for touring bikes - however it is not.

I ordered in July, immediately after hearing about the Experia in a RideApart article.  For my tastes, it has everything I want in a touring package, namely the bags, centerstand, heated grips, and ability to go on roads less travelled, all priced similarly to a G/S.  Plus, it has enough range to satisfy my touring style, and is electric.

I thought I'd not lost that many brain cells to forget that the centerstand was included, something I distinctly remember on my order.  But could it have been the photos in promotional material that made me think it was included?  It is not listed as an option on my order...  My dealer said the centerstand is not included, but will honor the order (which seems to say no centerstand).

This might need to be cross-posted, as this is beyond the 'standard feature' topic, but the dealer phoned yestereday with a report on my order status, direct from Italy:  July orders will be delivered in April.  Well, it is what it is I guess.  But of concern to me is that Energica is changing the specs as they build the Experias:  I was told the charger has been changed to a NEMA 14-20 (I believe) plug (with a 110V adapter), and I will have to buy an adapter.  I already installed a 14-50 plug based on Energica's instructuions!  Additionally, I was told at ordering that the 'keyed' option would delay delivery, as the keyless options were being created first.  So, I chose the keyless option.  Its getting a little irritating:  $400 for keyless option, $60-$100 for an adapter, $231 for a centerstand... But I'm not cancelling my order.

Could it be that they ran out of centerstands for the LE, since they are on backorder?

I don't care about the heated grips on an electric bike as I ride ICE when it is cold, but that sure is flakey if they are not already installed.

I do find it a major inconvenience to not have a centerstand.

What is the big difference between the LE and buying the bike later when the LE is sold out (as it is)?

I don‘t think so. Running out of means they had some. And I assume they nether had any as my dealer was telling me already in Novemer when Energica drilled up the configurator that the parts I immediately added to my order (ctr.stand, hand guards, GPS bracket) were not available. Maybe they had a few prototypes. He has direct connection to the plant, so I have no reason to believe otherwise.

….. but that sure is flakey if they are not already installed.

Could not agree more ;) - but I think I was wrong in my post above and they were indeed included in the LE. I was just checking my order and it does not mention the grips but I do have them. However, no longer standard. THAT‘s indeed flakey for a tourer!

I do find it a major inconvenience to not have a centerstand.

Same here - that‘s why I asked him if it was included in the LE once I realized it in some pics around summer last year.

There is no big difference apart accessories. You can still configure a bike that is 100% identical to the LE:
Page VERSION
- Model - ExPee 22.5kWh; 28.263EUR
- Fairing color - Bormio Ice; +0EUR
- Packs - no extra pack
Page OPTIONAL
- Suspension - ZF Sachs Front & rear; +0EUR
- Special Parts - no special parts
- Wheels - Cast Alu with red details; +375EUR
- Electronic components - heated grips; +274EUR
- Socket - CCS Inlet; +0EUR
Page ACCESSORIES
- no windscreen, no accessories
- Screws - Bar ends & ergal bolts; +321EUR
- Cases - top&side case kit with rack; +1,510EUR

Total 28,263+375+274+321+1,510=30,743EUR
Price LE: 30,451EUR, so 292EUR delta. I had to compare Euros as I nether checked Dollars and paid in Euros.

My guess is Energica wanted to have experience in setting up the assembly of serial bikes. So they kept it simple and started with one version with accessories that most customers would want (well, I do not see the point of black ergal bolts - but that’s just me). They are building now probably dozens, if not 100+ identical bikes to get a stable process in production and logistics flow.

Sounds like there are more advantages of NOT buying the LE. More choices, such as color of bike.

Well that was to be expected, wasn‘t it? Would not be surprised if they offer semi active suspension somewhen in the future - we will see…

I doubt that Energica is taking the touring market seriously.

30k touring bike without standard heated grips, no centerstand, without a semi active suspension, and now they also deleted Bluetooth?

It looks like a touring bike and is the best you can get in terms of range out of the electrics, but it's not really competing in the touring motorcycle space.

I think they will in time. Even bikes like the Ducati Multistrada V4S don't come standard with heated grips / luggage / centerstand / radar etc. They are all add-ons or packages.

The Experia is similar, you can order center stand, touring screens, heated grips or packages which have them.

It's just the Launch Edition, which was probably missing the center stand as they didn't get them in time. Energica switched focus to just getting bikes into customers hands as they knew they were behind schedule.

I hope Energica does incorporate radar, active suspension, adaptive cruise control etc like Ducati in the future. I just think it will drive price point higher and maybe they combat that with trim levels. So if you have the money you can get everything.

The Aussie Launch Edition Experias came with all the fruit, centre stand and heated grips included....all l ordered on top/extra was the keyless ignition, which wasn't included.
There was rumours of the centre stand being short shipped due to supply issues, but wasn't an "extra" AFAIK.
