Rubber bands are cheaper.

I’m with you Moto7575. I’ve dropped my srf due to parking on a slight downhill.
I’ve ground the side stand down so it’s got more lean forward, but now use one of these if I can’t park uphill.
Mine was 4€ but included (separately) a side stand plastic dish thing for soft ground.
(Thinking about the reverse gear software next service)
Pete.

The Bullet Brake works great. They recently fixed a reliability issue. I have the Bullet Brake on all three my electric bikes. Also works as a hill hold.

I have the Zero parking brake on my FX. I like it and use it all the time. The handle for it kind of stands out but I find myself using it way more often than I originally anticipated.

One of the better features of my old POS BMW C650GT was the fact that the parking brake was integrated into the sidestand.  My old TMAX and my friend's Silverwing both have a separate lever that you had to REMEMBER to set when you parked the scooter (like our eBikes, scooters with a CVT can't be left in gear to prevent rolling off the sidestand).  The BMW system took away that "task."  I wonder why no one else has copied that idea?

In any event, my XMAX is like the Zero... no way to prevent it from rolling off the sidestand if parked "poorly."  The solution for me for both vehicles is to ALWAYS make sure I'm parked with the front wheel pointing uphill if "level and flat" is not available.  If that isn't possible, then I'll ride off until I find such a spot.  I learned this lesson the "hard way" many years ago on other bikes before I knew about leaving the bike in gear.

I have hand-guards on my DSR so can’t use a slip on solution like a rubber band. I looped a short piece of stout string around the grip with enough length to engage the brake lever & secured it with a knot.

Look at the parking brake on a Polaris 4x4, (right lever on bar) I'm making something similar for my FXS,

A piece of double sided velcro should do the job nicely.

Not as well/conveniently as a piece of string that’s Permanently tied to the grip.

Like some others here, I'm trying a Bullet Brake. My brakes were soft before I installed it and they were softer after. Made me wonder if air was getting in so I tried a manual bleed and just managed to make things worse. It's not easy to bleed these brakes through the ABS system - at least not without the right equipment, which I don't have. So I had my shop do a bleed and now the brakes are working great and so is the bullet. I'll be watching it to see if they get worse over time but, for now, I've got great brakes and a functioning parking brake in the bullet.

There are tricks you can do to bleed the brakes. Even with ABS.  Such as put pressure on the brake lever overnight. The air will get out the same way it got in.

I find it easy to bleed the brakes on Zeros. But do not let the brake fluid get too low when you're doing it. Just don't induce any air into the brake lines when you're working on it and all will be okay.

This is a good time to buy the BB. They just fixed an issue that was making many of them crap out. Customer service from them is great.

But there is one type of better customer service--to not have the need contact them at all-ever!

I just couldn't get the SR/S brakes bled correctly. Maybe pressure overnight would have helped but even though I seemed to be bleeding all the way through and could flow fluid out the lower bleeder with no evidence of air bubbles, the line didn't pressurize and the brakes didn't engage until almost at the grip. I've done lots and lots of bolt-on stuff over years but don't have much experience with brakes let alone ABS brakes. When I got it (back) to the point at which I had the brakes working well enough to get me safely to my dealer, I called it quits and set up an appointment.

Man...you've got quite a stable. Is that your current collection? I don't have the room or the spousal support to keep more than two :)

Yes, I will have 11 well running bikes when I get my Energica Experia. I own two houses, each with a three-car garage. I keep an EV Car (2018 Tesla AWD, LR and 2022 Chevy Bolt) and five motorcycles at each house. I do have room for one more.

Try the overnight thing, I think you will be surprised how well it works. I keep some of my bikes like that whenever I am not riding them for a while. That includes my Energica Esse Esse 9. Some bikes do not get air into the lines by sitting, but many do--even when new--just from not being used enough.
