Charge Port Cover
« on: July 23, 2022, 09:54:21 PM »

Did Energica drop the charge port cover for the 2022 models?
My 2022 Eva Ribelle did not come with one.  I ordered a CCS type 1 cover from PimpMyEV.  I'll report back on how it works.

US models never had one, only EU models.

Ordered a CCS Type 1 cover from PimpmyEV.  They sent me a Tesla cover even after a round of E-mails to verify that I wanted a CCS type 1 cover.  When I E-mailed back about receiving the Tesla cover they insisted that was what I ordered.  I forwarded them back the E-mail chain where I clearly specified a CCS type 1 cover.  After more E-mail exchanges I was able to determine that the CCS cover they sell is for a type 2 charge port.  They won’t have much of a market for those in North America.

I get the impression that they have no technical knowledge about the products they are selling on their website.

Really?
Usually when you find Pimp in the name you think quality and professionalism.
What the world coming to?

It's obvious from 5min of perusing the website that it's the equivalent of a bog-standard auto external accessories store, pretty much nothing specifically related to BEVs; they're just trying to capitalize on the Tesla buzz by calling their website that.
They also have pretty much nothing for non-Teslas -- just generic accessories that look cheap and can be found on Amazon.
