Driving position differences between S and SR/F

I would like to ask anyone who has owned or just driven both models to specify what kind of difference they found in the driving position between S and SR / F.

Practically every summer I evaluate to switch from my 2019 S to the SR / F but then i make several considerations and in the end i stay with the S. I am 1.70cm tall, on the S the driving position is perfect and comfortable for me even after 200km , and the only time I got on an SR / F i remember feeling the very bulky tank in front of me and feeling overly stretched forward, and it was uncomfortable for me.

Driving the S is also comfortable for me for my use (commuting 30km a day and short trips) but the SR / F would obviously be an inviting upgrade.

I have the same experience at 173. The S fits nicely. The SR/F has the handlebars too far forward (more "sporty") and is not as comfortable to ride.

Last year I did a test ride on an SR/F during the factory tour event.   I recall the factory person telling me that the SR/S and SR/F had different height footpegs, with the SR/F being higher I think.  So if you feel more cramped on the SR/F, you might look into swapping footpegs with the SR/S.

The SR/S also has slightly further back bars

I did the same, I also put on a bar riser that moved the bars up and toward the rider about 1" (the cables just reached), the combination made a huge difference for me.

I had an SR/F from July 2021 to June 2022, but swapped it for a DSR. Even though my SR/F had SR/S bars and footpegs I found it too much of a stretch forward and the size of the 'tank' rather large between the knees. The DSR is far more comfortable even though a little tall for me with my 29" inside leg. So far the DSR is proving more comfortable for 100 mile plus rides.

Added into this is that the DSR has longer travel and softer suspension. This is very much better for the many pot-holed roads here in the Peak District of the UK. And finally I'm finding that 70 bhp is still plenty. The 110 bhp of the SR/F was incredibly quick but too tempting to use to prove to ICE riders that electric bikes can shift. Time to slow down a bit and act my age (65).
