Energica Week news
« on: August 29, 2022, 07:37:19 PM »

I posted this information in the Electric Motorcycle News section, but I will also post it here just in case you don't pay much attention to that sub-forum:

Here is news for all of you Energica owners. If you happen to be in Italy next week you will want to check out this event:
https://thepack.news/energica-announces-energica-week-2022-an-electric-gathering-of-the-global-energica-community/

If you reside in the U.S. you will be interested in this news:
Retail sales year-to-date are five times greater than the previous year.
New dealer agreements have expanded the U.S. network from 14 to 25 dealers, including nine new states: Colorado, Hawaii, New Jersey, New    Mexico, Utah and Washington State.
Pre-sale deposits have been received for over two months’ worth of Experia production.

Here is the news for the rest of the world:
Retail sales increase 104% year-to-date compared to the previous year with an additional two months’ production for the Experia spoken for by customer orders.
Expansion to 95 dealers, including intensification in existing key markets of France, Germany and the UK and entry into wholly new markets including Australia, Eastern Europe, Portugal, and even Pakistan and Nepal.

I hope they have a great management/leadership team in place. Growing by 20%, a new HQ, expanding plant operations, a model release, and have a big increase in orders is.. well.. a lot for any organization.

Could be a rough year for them in terms of production quality/timelines if things are not planned perfectly. In the long run it will probably be great for customers.

Laurence, previously the US Director of Marketing, just got promoted and posted this on his FB page:

Quote
Promoted to Company Development Officer reporting directly to CEO Livia Cevolini, but still living in NorCal - for now!

So they're promoting internally as well. Laurence has decades of experience at BMW under his belt so we'll see how he handles this.

Just wondering about the announced Energica owners gathering at Modena racetrack. Who will be there besides locals?

It's a 1.100 km drive from my place. Route planner tells me best case total 20 hours with 17 charge stops  :o
That would be one epic drive! Probably should start right now to be there on time...

When did you order it?  I wonder if I will really get my Experia in September. September is just a day away. I ordered my Experia the first minute possible.

I ordered my Experia on the same day, June 1.   I assume we will both get our bikes on the same shipment. I hear the Energica factory is closed for the entire month of August. Six weeks would put you right in the middle of August.

I was told I would get mine in September.

I would think they would make more effort to ship them out before August when they close. But perhaps they just couldn't do that as they probably have a lot of orders.

Perhaps we will both get our bikes this month.  Tom Huff told me he expects September to be accurate.
