It's the usual "let others try it first" thing.... I am looking for recommendations on a phone holder/craddle for the handlebar.

Has to be wireless - I don't want to fiddle with a cable.
I have my iPhone X in a UAG Plyo cover which makes it about double as thick along the edges. Has to be able to grip around/along the cover.

Preferably advice from someone who own it (or testet it)  :)

It won't be cheap but you can't get better than Quadlock, if you don't mind changing your case. They have a wireless charger available as well as a vibration damper so as not to damage your camera which iPhones are prone to do (although I've heard it's the higher frequency vibrations from a gas engine that do it, not so much a bumpy road).

Will consider it...   :D
Perhaps I could just put it in the Quadlock case when I need it - if the case isn't extreme tight?

Other recommendations are welcome!

Is there a reason why you want to stick with the UAG case? The Quadlock one also has some impact protection. You can also get a ring that goes in the mount which you can either put your finger through for a more secure grip or use as a stand, I'm really glad to have mine. They don't make a case for mine so I use one of the adhesive mounts stuck on the back of my phone, but that could also be stuck to the back of your case as another option.

The Quadlock case is good. It's a tight fit on your phone so not really easy to pop in and out on too regular a basis. I dont really like phone cases but have been usinga Quadlock for the last 6 months. I don't really need it on the bike too much, so have gone back to no case agin. On the rare occasion I need satnav I'll pop it into the Quadlock case.

Reason for really liking the cover is that it took me time to find one that I really liked. Has to have semi-serious impact protection and still nok look like a brick. The Plyo cover (in black) can handle drops, the feel of it is good and it still look stylish enough for the few times a year I am wearing a suit.
I will consider the Quadlock!

I like my RAM Mounts wireless Qi-enabled holder, but some people can’t stand them and say your phone will fly off on the road. I saw quite a few lose their rubber feet (which could cause the phone to come loose) while I worked at Scoot, but that’s because some of our riders would yank their phones out of the holder instead of taking it out the proper way. I only had a rubber foot come off on mine once when I was yanking on the rain cover and didn’t realize it was caught on the RAM holder, but never while riding and none of my riding buddies have had that happen either.

I’ve heard the Hondo Garage model is much better, but it’s also more expensive.

I’m also a quad lock user. I’ve got an iPhone 12 (the smallest one) in a battery case with a quadlock adapter stuck to the back of the phone case.  I use the weatherproof wireless charger with the vibration reduction component.  Charges both my phone and and the case (this is a function of the battery case). I’ve got a desk quad lock mount that re-charge the phone at the end of the day and is nice if I want to do a video call or just have a stand for the phone.  Another is mounted on the dash of my truck and van.

Pricey, for sure, but I’d say worth it given the cost of phones.

(The battery case is like a $40 purchase (amazon - Chinese brand). I’ve gone through 3 of then now, each lasting about 6-8 mo.  At that price, I consider it more of a consumable, really as I never have an issue with battery life.  I suspect I could probably use my phone continuously the entire day and with they short-recharging when driving, never run out of juice.

Question is : why do you need a holder for ? If this is for GPS direction, the best solution by far is a connected watch (i use Samsung's) that replicates the phone direction - works perfectly and you don't need an ugly add-on.

I would not assume that an electric bike will not brick your expensive phone. Far too many iPhones have been destroyed on bikes for me to risk a new phone. I use one for nav but bought a older iPhone 6 on eBay for $40. These older cameras are not impacted by vibes on bumps. I keep my new phone in my pocket.

Thank you so much for all the replies  :D
Besides quad-lock you mention some, to me, unknown models I can look at.

You just wrap your smartwatch around the handlebar or?  ;D
I have an older Schuberth S2 helmet. Recently ditched the old SRC bluetooth collar because it was at the end of its life. Started to have issues with voicecommands (calling and changing song) and cables in the collar started to snap. When taking the helmet on/off it puts a lot of stress on the cables. Next season I think I will buy a new helmet so I won't spend money on a new bluetooth kit for the S2. Otherwise I could have kept the phone in the pocket and listened to directions... But I also want to be able to see if I need to stop for a call or text - sometimes they call from work and ask if I can help out with an issue. If it's easy $ and I have time then why not.

As the text beneath my messages reveal I still don't have an electric bike. Even though my bike is adjusted pretty smooth that 4 cyl still creates a little resonance at various rpm somewhere between 4-7.000 rpm... I can't be going with 13.500 rpm all the time  8)
Would have ordered a Energica if it wasn't the the because we suddently wanted to move. Kid starts on business college in a town 20km away and I work in that same town. Wife even got a new job there so we will all be bicycling to work/school.
We (or I) have to consider if it isn't overkill with both a Model 3 Long Range and an Energica Ribelle... But maybe it's just easier to afford when it's not going to be a daily commute   ;D
