Does anyone know the max C-rating of any of Zero batteries?
« on: March 04, 2022, 04:47:02 AM »

Like the subject says, I'm wondering if anyone knows the actual maximum discharge capability of the Zero battery pack, preferable these later model units. I know the value in the Sevcon; I'm just wondering if that's an actual limit of the battery or just a value higher than Zero thought would ever be seen in normal riding.

There's some info in the unofficial manual on the older 25Ah cells, 4C continuous and 7C for a 10 second peak and a 400A burst whatever that means. The 27Ah have a lower C rating (don't know if that means the same current rating or not) and the 29Ah ones have a higher rating, but no numbers given.

Thanks for that. According to the link from the manual, it looks like the 32Ah units could be good for up to 10C.

Thanks for that. According to the link from the manual, it looks like the 32Ah units could be good for up to 10C.

If you're referring to the previous gen 14.4 packs, Zero caps the Ah value from 32 to 28.5 for a total of 114. I was always told they were rated for up to a 10C discharge.

If you're referring to cells in the newest packs of the 2022 SR, SR/F, and SR/S, those figures/values have not been released publicly.
