Passenger Grab bars for SR
« on: November 01, 2021, 11:52:02 PM »

Looking for passenger Grab bars to add to my SR.
I know the Givi top box that Zero sells has grab bars but I don't want the platform for the box. Any ideas or suggestions?

The factory rack.  Then get an inexpensive rear box which will also give you a top plate.

Is there anything without the top box? I just want the bars because teens have backpacks and a box would get in the way.

Just the top rack bracket is enough and is very easy to install / well worth it for grab bars.

See the Unofficial Manual for OEM Top Rack and OEM Top Rack installation. Note some of the links are broken to Zero accessories website. Use the fan-favourite AF1Racing dealer online shop to order the part and have it shipped to you.

Yeah, the OEM top rack is enough for just grab bars but an inexpensive top rack box gives you more base to strap packages to and helps the passenger not slide back.   The OEM top rack's base plate is small and slippery.   Even on my FXS I added another plate to the OEM top rack so it would better support packages and give me more bungee tiedown locations.

Not generally a good idea to ride with a backpack. Less safe in case of an accident.
For the rider, it also makes it more cumbersome to swivel your head for quick rear view checks.
