Wallbox: charger compatibility testing
« on: November 02, 2021, 08:07:05 AM »

I have issues with my SR/F charging with. New Wallbox charger. Talking with Zero and Wallbox company does not sound like there is much or a compatibility effort going on. Wallbox support is based on Mountain View, CA. But Zero is not responding to a test request.

Would anybody would be available to take a motorcycle SR/F to Wallbox and get some charging logs? I am based in Seattle otherwise I would do it.

Which model number  do you have?

The WallBox is no more of a charger than is an AC  outlet.  It only supplies AC to the charger in your motorcycle. There really is not much in there to go wrong inside the box. There  should not be  any incompatibility issues. Are you sure you have 240 VAC going into the WallBox?

I have a Pulsar Plus. Works fine with other vehicles (bmw i3. Tesla model S). But no go with the SR/F. Fans start when I plug, power remains at 0A and in a few the bike fan stops and shuts down.

Are you using the 40 amp mode?  How many watts of chargers are on your bike?

Have you tried to charge your bike on a different J-1772 lately?

Sorry for being Capt. Obvious, but please also make sure there is no charge target (particularly not one that is lower than your current SoC) and that there are no charging times programmed.

Sorry for the delayed replies. The charger is currently connected to a 30A circuit (24A mode). And yes I did confirm that I don't have any charge limits setup. The bike is charging ok from a public charger not far from my house at ~6kw. I also have tried it at different levels of SOC without luck. Then plugin our 110v turbocord and it works well.

I tried all options I could think about. Sent logs to Zero, Wallbox. Sounds like it is down to a join debugging.
