Zero FX Rims for Tubliss
« on: August 10, 2021, 10:26:53 PM »

Does anyone know what narrower rims would fit the stock hubs for a 2021 Zero FX, in order to install a Tubliss system?

The stock rim sizes are 1.85x21 (front) and 2.50x18 (rear).  I confirmed with Tubliss that these are too wide, and that I would need to go to something narrower, like 1.6x21 and 2.15x18.  I would typically use a site like RockyMountainATVMC.com to confirm which rims would work, but none of the sites I have checked provide compatibility information for Zero motorcycles.

If no one knows specifically which narrower rims would fit, does someone at least know what spoke pattern is used (Japanese vs. Euro)?  I might be able to make an educated guess as to which rims would fit based on that.

HI
I would want to put tubeless tiers on my FX 2014 too, I did some option search, there is unofficial way
to make the rims support tubeless tiers and there is a way to put rims from FXS (and then fix the brake & license tiers size change)
Good luck
Let us know how its going  :)

Thank you both for your responses.  I am hoping to stick with the Tubliss system, for the added benefit of a full circumference rim lock when used off-road with low tire pressure.  I have reached out to both Warp 9 and Excel to see if they can confirm which of their rims will work with the FX hubs.

I put a Warp 9 Honda-style 19x2.50 32-spoke rim on a 2015 FX rear wheel (Warp 9 p/n 89-19322-2).  If the 2021 FX wheels are 32-spoke they probably use the same pattern.
