Hi There, Bonjour,

I just recently bought a 2017 Zero S from an Ontario (Canada) dealer and had it delivered to me in the Ottawa/Gatineau region.  I am loving my bike but there is no dealer closer than 2 or 3 highway hours away, and with only a 6.2 battery a visit is no simple matter.
 
The bike is very rare here - I'm certainly getting a lot of questions from other drivers about the bike, and I've never seen any other here in the last couple of years... 

Anyone live close by (or in Ontario or Quebec) willing to give some pointers as to who might be able to service it locally if needed, any other advice?

Bonjour Larry, je suis de Québec et en suis à ma cinquième Zero. Si tu veux nous joindre sur la page FB de Zero Motorcycle Quebec tu es le bienvenu. Nous somme maintenant plus d'une centaines de membre et le but est de se connaitre et partager à propos de ces superbes moto et aussi d'à l'occasion pouvoir organiser des ride et rouler ensemble.

Dans la region de Québec, le meilleur dealer est vraiment "L'ami Denis" à  Sherbrooke. Il te faut à tout prix éviter les dealer de motoplex, ceux qui innondent marketplace et kijiji de fausses annonces de moto et qui ne sont pas disponible. Ils n'ont pas une bonne reputation. donc du coté de Québec, ta meilleure place est à Sherbrooke!

Bonjour à tous. Je veux juste apporter un autre point de vue avec Motoplex. J'ai acheté ma SR/S chez Motoplex à Mirabel et cette semaine, j'avais un RV pour le rappel concernant la switch du frein avant qui actionne la lumière du frein arrière. Aussi, je n'arrivais pas à faire la mise à jour du firmware de V.17 à V.19. À 8:30, Claude le technicien spécialiste des motos Zeros a débuté le travail et à 10:00, tout était complété à ma grande satisfaction. Accueil chaleureux, salle d'attente et café, professionalisme et compétence de Claude, somme toute, expérience sans reproches.

Voilà, pour une première visite, ce fut très positif.


Good morning all. I just want to bring another point of view with Motoplex. I bought my SR / S from Motoplex in Mirabel and this week I had an appointment for the recall regarding the front brake switch which activates the rear brake light. Also, I was unable to update the firmware from V.17 to V.19. At 8:30 am, Claude the technician specializing in Zeros motorcycles started work and at 10:00 am, everything was completed to my great satisfaction. Warm welcome, waiting room and café, Claude's professionalism and competence, all in all, a flawless experience.

So, for a first visit, it was very positive.

Sorry, I'm a little late to the party. I live about an hour south of Ottawa. The closest dealer indeed seems to be Motoplex Mirabel. I can't say much about their service department other than that it took them an entire day to install a power tank. Claude seems motivated and knowledgeable, that I can confirm.

The sales department appears to be a whole different story though. The first guy I dealt with told me I can't have an SR/S premium with a power tank because the Premium's second 3 kW charger will already take up the storage space in the tank (which is plain BS), also he said I'd have to take one of the existing bikes or if I want my preferred configuration, it would take months to get the bike delivered. When I told them that we won't have a deal it suddenly became possible in just two weeks. And then they tried to coerce me into financing saying I'd have to pay more if I don't finance. Also that was a lie and no, I didn't finance my bike.

Long story short: careful with the sales department but I will definitely welcome your experience with the service department.
Where did you get your bike? The closest dealer in Ontario is Classy Chassis and Cycles in Lakefield which is several hours away from Ottawa.

For sales Motoplex is terrible, don't try to get the price they display in their ads, there are always conditions and fees, if they have the bike in stock at all. Their service department looks quite decent though.
