It's ok let it all out man, let it all out.

I share your feeling that this was a missed opportunity.  The bike they shown really should just have been the 2022 FXS.
I think that would have been ok, not great but ok.

I'm still in camp range over charging for "me" because I have crap infrastructure.  I agree a 30 minute full charge would be awesome, but I'll give them a pass on this one for now.  The battery is still the bottle neck and if they feel it can't take over 1C charging for corporate warranty coverage then I understand.

I will say as I've already posted, no reason to not put one of the new 3kw chargers on the tank with a J plug so a 1 hour city lunch stop gives you 50 miles more range plugged in.

If they can't work out a higher range battery right now, ok.

But what they can do and should have done years ago is beef up the frame and drop the SR motor and controller in it to have a bike that crushes the gas competition.
They made it for Pikes Peak (without the SR motor).  Just tone it down some and you have a city beast and a great track day weapon at beginner money.

Zero, we only want more because we know you can do better.  If you build it they will sale.

Sooo well said, man!  Thank you for that.

Even a 1-hour charge time on the FX platform would be an INSANE upgrade.  A J-port with a 6kW charger = done.  Electric riders and gas riders both think 9 hours is a joke, so why would they even do that??  ::)

You're right about the range.  After 3 years, a bigger battery for the FX is due.  Not just.. saying it can do 100 miles on the same battery they previously said it could do 91 miles on.  Their marketing team is getting reeeeeally creative.

I hope this is just another way to buy some time before releasing something big.  That's the only thing keeping me optimistic about Zero's future.
