ZERO SR/S (SR/F) Bullet Break Problem
« on: June 22, 2021, 02:20:18 PM »

I think there are several bullet break user in this forum. I have a problem with my device where I hope to get some advice :)
I installed it following the video instruction with no problem and it worked great. But the problem was, that there was some air in the break system and I therefore asked my dealer to bleed the break.

The break is now back to normal functionality with a precise break pressure point, but unfortunately the bullet break no longer works. If I try to lock the break, the pin stays locked, but the break opens if I undo the break lever.

I have seen the bullet break video from Hans where he complained some air in the system although he bled the break on the reservoir. I assume, that he did not bleed the break at the discs and wonder if the bullet break need some air in the system to function properly.

Any hint is appreciated:)

Could it be that the seal that the bullet brake should make is broken? They have big warnings in the instructions not to pull the brake lever harder then needed to prevent the bullet seal to fail. At least that is what I understand it should prevent.

In my case it is sometimes a bit sensitive in that I need to keep pressing the bullet brake until I have let go of the brake lever. Not always but sometimes the bullet brake pops out again when I'm still holding the brake lever and already have released the bullet brake.

For my own I still only bled the top and still it feels like there is some air trapped on the bullet itself. I think the bullet itself needs to be bleed also.
