« on: July 29, 2022, 08:28:18 AM »

The electric car and truck incentives with be expanded, with limits for high income Americans. Haven’t seen anything about electric motos. Any insights?

I heard the same report. But politicians never mention motorcycles and rebates in the same sentence. My best guess is that they will keep the previous IRS credit for buying any EV in place. That would be 10% of the purchase price, up to a maximum of $7,500 (the $7.5K was mentioned in news reports last night) and that will likely apply to motorcycles too, although their might be a lower limit on battery size or range, as there was previously. Meanwhile individual states, are mostly eliminating rebates or, like California, severely restricting them to people with low incomes (who likely could not afford to buy a new EV, anyway). If the law passes as proposed no doubt Zero will send out an email to everyone on their mailing list informing them about any available IRS rebate credits some time later this year.   ;)
