Yellow Warranty Stickers
« on: June 10, 2021, 02:07:36 AM »

This is regarding the 5 year battery warranty stickers. Do most people leave them on? Does Zero care if removed or do most owners have zero care about this subject?

It is your bike. Do whatever you want with the sticker. I have never really paid any attention to mine, so I have left it on.  Speaking of stickers, I seem to recall that my 2012 Zero had a "made in America" sticker on the bike. I haven't seen one of those on a Zero in a while.  ;)

I think the stickers were more for advertising in the showroom to let people know the features. It’s not a mattress, I’d take them off! Mine didn’t come with them so I cut the tags off my mattress instead.

There's a flag sticker and a 'made in Santa Cruz, California' sticker.

Where is that located? I can't find it on my 2018 S and I don't recall it on my 2014 S, which I will see again tomorrow. If I know where to look I will see if such a sticker is on that bike. But if it is there, Zero must have done a good job of hiding it.  ::)

The only one(s) I have on my biker are on the tail and on the side. It's really small. Like toothpick small. And it says, "crafted in California"

Same with my two 2017 Zeros.

But it really should say: "crafted in California with most parts from China" :)

Yep, the flag is about a centimeter across, and the 'made in Santa Cruz' is about six centimeters.

I pulled the stickers off, they peeled right off and could be reapplied if anyone actually cared to do so.

I couldn't find the flag, but I was able to put on my reading glasses, grab a magnifying glass, and read the "Crafted in California" frame inlay. I note that it doesn't say "manufactured" in California or America. Frankly I am not too sure how many parts on a Zero are sourced from America. My guess is not very many.  ;)

It's the little bright spot atop the tail.  I didn't have a good picture of it ^-^

Success! I found it. But is sure wasn't easy as it is mostly covered up by my luggage rack. It took more magnifying glass work and a flashlight to see it.  ;)  Apparently, Zero doesn't want to show off that American flag very well. Would a flag sticker like that offend customers in other countries?  ???

It's pretty obvious on my bike, but I did say it was a centimeter wide.
