Hi all,

I did some digging in the MBB and came across "Dash and Telit" firmware. So I search for "Telit" and it looks like they make M2M and IoT "stuff". I know the dash is made by a OEM that makes dashboards for motorcycles that also have cloud connectivity , So I was wondering If there is some form of cellular connection hardware inside the dashboard.  I know that Zero uses the StarCom Helios advanced for the App / cloud connection (and it sucks). Before I teardown my Dashboard perhaps someone already did and know the answer. I am just curious to find out. thanks.

Aside from the telit firmware, when you open your dash, can you take some pics how it is sealed against water ingress? Interested if this can be improved.

The FST dash contains a Telit BLE module. The cellular comms module is called the CCM and is located under the seat.

EDIT: Tank is more accurate.

I am not sure how much work it is to take the dash apart, but If I do I will take pictures and post them. The dash is as watertight as a picnic basket. (zo lek als een mandje). But Zero is or was working on the problem with the supplier of the dashboards. It will take a while. And perhaps the Telit is just the BlueTooth chip. I checked and they also make chips for BT. Thanks for the pointer. If I find out more I will post it here.

Actually, the Cellular Connectivity Module is located, under the "Tank", just rear of the Ignition Switch.
Regarding the BLE Module, I'm kind of impressed by its Connectivity Range.
