Hello all, been on the forum for a while but never posted, just came looking for info. I have a couple questions.
Getting ready to pull the trigger on a 2009 Zero S. Owner had a new battery pack put in, no further info but my guess is a Zero factory redo.
I will probably be converting the batts to Leaf modules and I have experience with this since I just put 54 of them in my Chevy S-10 conversion.
What kind of range and top speed are you guys/gals getting with a conversion to 7 Leaf modules?
Are you able to use the onboard charger with the Leaf pack? I think they're the same chemistry/voltage so my guess is yes but want to hear from you.
Has anyone changed sprockets to get higher top speed?
What kind of mileage are you getting before having to address the brushes in the Perm motor? I have that exact same motor. I was in the process of building
a ZX11 EV with that motor but scrapped it.
Finally, is anyone running without the bms on a Leaf conversion? Any yes I know all the reasons why to use a bms, just wondering if anyone is running without and your experience. : )
Thank you in advance.
