Indoor Cover for SR/S
« on: October 24, 2020, 08:09:28 AM »

I have been searching for a cover to keep the dust off my Zero while it sits in the garage. I thought it would be a very simple search but the incredible number of choices coupled with the fact that the SR/S has sportbike dimensions until you consider the mirrors and the handlebars! Has anyone here solved this dilemma?

Google search for "motorcycle stretch cover". Since you do not need to worry about protecting the bike from the elements a waterproof shell style cover is not needed.

Standard or sportbike size would be the size I would go with.

Also, since you don't need to worry about hot engine parts, you can get the cheaper materials ^-^

I would think the largest M/C cover they sell at Wal*Mart would work. I use it one my SR which has the bags, TT and windscreen and it has some room left over.

IN case you havent already purchased one, call Nelson Rigg. They actually answer the phone. You can take your bike's dimesions and they will recommend the right size. That's what I did for an SRS with side and top cases

Nelson-Rigg for sure in the garage....  Get a 1/2 cover, only go down the bike half way....  I use them on all my bikes in the garage....  Very easy on and off,....  stops the dust because it comes from above....  Highly recommended....

Thanks to all of you for your helpful suggestions. I went with a Nelson-Rigg Defender Extreme Sport Bike cover since my bike does not have luggage or other accessories. The fit is very good. The material and build quality are excellent and the stuff sack for the cover is designed to allow you to compress the cover into a very compact size! I’ve had a lot of bike covers over the years; this is definitely one of the best.
