Amazing. My impressions are:
- trailside changing the belt is really impressive
- lots of steps and stuff to carry
- belt is not for off road to begin with, use chain kit
- the small emergency belt would be easier to deploy. Have you seen this?

Awesome input. I should add that we can skip a couple of steps; leave the kickstand switch in place but be careful of bumping it, and push down on the foot brake lever for clearance to the swingarm bolt instead of removing the brake pedal cotter pin & clevis pin. The latter is a time and hassle saver. It takes me about 15 minutes to change a belt.

You are right that a chain is best for "off road" and racing, these belts break when landing a jump with rev and when rev chopping across ruts. As for dualsport? The belt seems a fair choice, quiet and tough with these exceptions, which can be easily managed with forethought and practice.

The accumulation of knowledge happens with sharing. I subscribe and now know how difficult it is to make a "how to" video. Hats off to the people who do this regularly!

NEW2elec, The spinup-recontact is the culprit but it's not common. I don't shy away from jumps or woods riding. The belt is darn tough and handles the torque like a chain, a rainbow of roost.  Rocks tend to "ping" out of the sprocket. Small sticks roll on through the sprocket unless a chunk gets stuck in a tooth, followed by a repeated "poink" sound. Clean it out and ride on. A big stick "hooking" the belt could be an issue I suppose, haven't witness that yet. Running the belt a little loose(50 htz) seems to lessen the damage from debris.

That looks interesting and a very viable option. I tryed to get a stock belt wrapped like that and could not make it fit. The issue I see with the small emergency belt versus a stock belt replacement is "game over & limp home" versus "take a break & game on"

Great video.
My only input is that I find it easier to align belt & then tension (2016 DSR).

Good clear video of the steps you followed and are demonstrating. More videos of FX/FXS maintenance are a very good thing, most at present are all about S/DS 

Nice tricks with the bolts in the foot peg, and supporting the rear wheel & swingarm with a strap anchored on the rear tail assembly.
