I just received this E-mail when I tried to charge my Zero SR at close to 8KW:
"Dear Donald,
The station at which your vehicle is charging, DC CORRIDOR / COLFAX D&D L2, has detected that your Vehicle is drawing more current than the station's rating, and has suspended charging to prevent the circuit breaker from tripping. This typically indicates an issue with configuration of the vehicle or an issue with the battery management system on the vehicle. Please contact the manufacturer of the vehicle if you receive this notification again.
Team ChargePoint"
In my case, it was deliberate to see what would happen on one of the newer Chargepoint J-stations. It did charge at the ~8 KW for perhaps 20 seconds before it turned off. For a while, I thought it was going to work even over its limit. But no such luck!
I simply unplugged the OBC and turned on the key to charge up with my two new 3.3 KW Elcons I purchased from Sacramento today. They are wired to the motor controller.
