2022 Energica sales news report
« on: January 23, 2023, 08:41:00 PM »

Here is the latest sales news from Energica for the 2022 year. I would appear that the company's sales are progressing rapidly and that pre-order deliveries continue to be backed up a bit: https://thepack.news/energica-motor-company-reports-preliminary-year-end-turnover-data-for-its-electric-motorcycles/

Too bad there are no absolute unit sales numbers, though I understand why the numbers wouldbe considered confidnetial. Percentage increases when starting from a low base are a lot less meaningful.
I'm really curious what the total global unit numbers were for both Energica & Zero.
The most recent financial statement states that Energica's largest marketsare the US, Germany & Taiwan -- that last is very surprising.
Anyone know something about that?

Taiwan is a surprisingly big market for European EV it's the same for the Porsche Taycan.

Maybe it's also because they don't want to buy chinese manufactured stuff ;)

I was mostly surprised due to the cost of an Energica; average salaries in Taiwan are 40% lower than in the US, IIUC.
Purchasing-power parity doesn't enter into  it when buying an expensive imported item such as an e-motorcycle.
