You can buy one for only 115K$.

Where are the specs on that bike?

And I thought the HD LW was expensive. I thought there would be very few buyers, but it ended up being the best selling electric motorcycle in the USA.

I tell you what, if I hit the Powerball or MegaMillions jackpot, I'd order one.  But ONLY if I had that much disposable cash at hand.  There are far more important things I could spend $115K on than garage jewelry.

No... using Firefox ESR under Ubuntu Linux 20.04.2LTS here.

Here is a link to the YouTube video embedded in the article if that works better for you:

Thanks...using Chrome on the same version of Ubuntu. I'll try Firefox as well...I'm so used to not using it that I need to constant reminders to try it when Chrome (or it's extensions) give me issues.

Just watched the video...I'm not so sure the lack of rider aids on an electric with the potential of 200+ hp is something to be proud of. Granted their website says 87hp sustained but they also state 217 hp future proof so I take that to mean the motor has the potential to be dialed up much higher than 87hp. For a high 5-figure to 6-figure bike, I darn well better have varying levels of traction control, power deliver modes, regen modes, etc. Eye candy alone on a boulevard cruiser isn't enough to convince me to fork over 100k...give or take.

I wish them luck but I feel the days of boutique motorcycles are gone...just look at the custom big twin market...I don't believe any of the major players from the late 90's to early 00's are still around.

Remember that they're also using 21700s which, while they're totally fine for cars with massive battery banks, are less than ideal for motorcycles as they have significantly lower power output and crappy stack efficiency.

You'd think premium price would afford premium batteries, but the Giant Brains behind Curtiss have decided their customers aren't worth it.

Which is odd because they made a bit of a song and dance about how customers would be able to upgrade the tech in their Curtiss when newer, better stuff became available. Er...

Cas :)
