Storage box for FX battery compartment?
« on: August 02, 2020, 06:02:03 AM »

I've got a modular 2019 FX, if I remove the rear battery does anybody have a suggestion for how I can use that space for storage, e.g. tools / water?

The first possibility that comes to mind is to obtain a dead battery and hollow it out (very carefully).
It wouldn't be trivial, but it would have a lot of advantages.
It would be locked on by key, would slide in and out easily, presumably would be rugged, and would look perfect (camouflaged).
The connector couldn't be left on, unless it was wired the same as the dummy plug.

Use that space to install a "fuel injection" system.

They used to sell a nylon bag that fit into the space. I really wanted one but it was too expensive, $300 or close to it. Anyone have a used one for sale?
