That is handy, thank you! I've added it to the end of the Controller section of the unofficial manual:

I dont know if I posted it on ES but there is a two letter command (BD) that spits out that same sequence of hex such that you dont have to memorize them, type them in, or have them around.

Not sure everyone will have the command...  but I tested it on our gear and it works.

As for bricking issues...  I avoid flashing DLD unless I really need to...  and when I do I walk away from it and let it think for a long time.  Super easy to get impatient and blow it.

I'm assuming that stands for "backdoor". It emits the sequence as a command for you to repeat back to it or does it execute it immediately? In either case, I've appended it to the wiki entry.

Patience is always a good idea around hacks like this.

I have tried it once again yesterday  on a gen 4 size 4 from a Zero.. i dfont exactly remember how i bricked it but i know i heard a "TAK" sound  inside when i bypassed contactor acidently while powering it up... .

since  when i try teh command to unbrick it i get: "unable to communicate with node 1"... ::)

but i still see lines scrolling and  ( there is activity).. but the green LEd on the controlerl make one long flash and two very short...

I tried another size 4 and it worked perfect.. so the IXXAT is ok...

DoctorBass, Did you ever recover this Sevcon? I was seeing multiple errors on one, reloaded the DLD and found myself here. Successfully recovered more Sevcon than I can recall, issues seem to multiply with older high mileage bike, but it's been a while and don't recall this happening before.
