Sounds like it gets a better battery from the start at the same price.
Good news all around.
My younger self would have loved the hell out of this thing.

Hmm, yah that does look like a ton of fun there !
starts about 10k price range though.  A little steep or not?
The reviews seem pretty decent so far on it.

Over here the price of a base model is the same as a Zero FX, for a significantly more powerful (60hp versus 44hp), more off-road capable, lighter (110kg versus 130kg), and higher quality bike with roughly the same capacity (6kW/h versus 7.2kW/h, will be even closer now). The downsides are it's not road legal and I assume it doesn't have a built in charger, they do say the charge time is 2 hours or a 1 hour fast charge so not sure what's included with the bike but either way it's also faster than an FX.

It's not cheap by any means but I think it's a decent price for what it is (you can upgrade to 80hp for an extra £1k too). There are people who spend just as much if not more on pleasure ICE bikes, by that I mean stuff that isn't used for commuting. If I was lucky enough to be earning enough to be one of those people I'd love to spend like £12k on setting one up as a super moto and getting it road legal (wouldn't be too difficult in the UK as no lights or even mirrors needed).

They are about 12 k here too but the wait time,  they won't be delivered until the end of NEXT YEAR?    Sorry, not holding my money for a year and a half on a promise of a bike.  Too much vaporware in this market, bikes AND cars / trucks etc.  When you got a product that will be delivered in a month or three, and I pay unon receipt, like with my Ribelle, THEN we can do business.
