New SR/F Warrenty Campain.
« on: February 02, 2020, 12:37:28 AM »

Hi all,

appologies if this is old news.

I was at my dealer this morning to get the frunk lid replaced as per the recall for them and when he checked on the computer there was anther service bulliten that turned up 10 days ago (ish) about checking the rear brake rotar for the correct torque values as some of the early ones (mine, with the gappy frunk) had the wrong torque settings on the bolts and could slowy un-screwed and interfer with the swing-arm.

just a heads up for anyone with an early SR/F like mine. Appears Zero only just posted this little bulletin. Out of the five bolts they checked on mine, they tweaked three upto the correct settings.

Ride Safe.

Do you know what value these should be torqued at? Can't find it in the manual. The brake caliper itself is listed but not the rotor.

I can't remeber what values were listed, on the bulletin. The dealer did tell me during the conversation, but i can't remember and i don't want to get it wrong and spread dis-information.

On the exploded views on the AF1racing site it states 27 NM / 20 lb.ft

https://www.af1racing.com/store/Scripts/prodList.asp?idCategory=3362&description=2020+Zero+SR%2FF+Spare+Parts+Catalog

page number 50-2 for the item number, which is 41 (both for the front and rear rotor bolts)
then on page 50-4 it states : 41 | STAR DRIVE BUTTON HEAD SCREW M8X20 | 90-08259 | 15 | 20 lb·ft (27 Nm)

But of course it could be that the bulletin requires a higher torque than stated in the spare parts catalog.
