Charging in hot climates

The Owners-Manual-SRF states the following:
If you ride regularly, but your ride doesn’t require most of
your power pack’s capacity, your power pack will benefit
from not being charged to 100% unnecessarily. In hot
climates, going for a few rides before recharging will prolong
your power pack’s life by limiting the amount of time it
spends parked at a high state of charge.


The first sentence is clear.
The first part of the second sentence is a bit confusing (at least to me).
I guess it means the following: In hot climate, if you have charged to 100% accidentally its better to reduce the state of charge by going first for a few extra rides than to leave the bike parked at a hig state of charge.  .... ?

It seems to be saying do not recharge to full unless you need to.

IAC, it's best to not leave the battery fully charged for a long period of time. They like to be stored at around 60% of SOC. The less they are at a full charge (or stored at a very low charge) the better. But I am surprised they say for hot climates and not for  all times.

I believe keeping it fully charged and NOT using it is bad period, but even worse in hot climates.  'Seems about right from what I know about Lithium batteries.

Yep, sounds correct to me too.   However, IMO, they should have worded it differently and said best to not keep fully charged, especially in warmer weather.

DonTom and valnar: I agree. It's what I thought they mean. This "going for a few rides before recharging" is probably unluckily worded.
I just wanted to be sure it's not me understanding something wrong.
