According to an article in the business section of my newspaper today, Bird will be offering a commercial-grade version of their city scooter, called the Bird One. It will be available for the purchase price of $1,299
The scooter is claimed to offer a longer street life than its consumer-level vehicles. "
The Bird One will come in three colors, jet black, dove white and electric rose, and is capable of running up to 30 miles on a fully charged battery. The company said the Bird One is designed to last for a year as a rental scooter, compared to the 10-month lifespan of Bird's current Bird Zero model." Act fast because this is a limited-time offer.
Deliveries will be made this summer.
Scraping the bottom of the news barrel regarding this item: "
With regards to the rest of its scooter line, Bird said it will phase out scooters designed for the retail consumer market, offer the Xiaomi M365 scooter for monthly personal rentals and will no longer purchase Ninebot ES scooters." (Thank god for that.
