Solid state battery startup
« on: September 13, 2018, 08:05:48 PM »

Another battery breakthrough by a "startup". But will when will they be available to the consumer?  Note the comments at the bottom of the article.  https://electrek.co/2018/09/11/solid-state-battery-startup-bmw-hyundai-samsung-breakthrough-electric-vehicles/

$20 million Series A is loose change for these companies, far from what would be considered a major investment. Suggests to me that it is more of long shot but that doesn't mean this won't pan out. We all hope for better EV batteries.
IIRC Toyota already is a player in Fisker's solid state program.
