Not SUPER new. the Sur-Ron has been talked about for maybe a year or so on the bicycle forums.

We may draw the line at "are your pedals connected to your drive train".

Although there was that guy who made that one bike:


...and it kind of blurs the lines a bit between art and "is that really still a bicycle?"
