My kids got aggressive with banging things in the garage, and unfortuntely gave my new Zero 2017 SR a good whack.
Whacked so hard the red plastic cracked at the storage tank.
It is a clean crack, so I am considering to glue back together.
Any idea what kind of plastic this is?
Is it ABS?
Anyone have experience trying to glue.

I had to repair an old kawasaki fairing once, and I used PVC cement (the yellow stuff with the cotton ball applicator).  It worked really well, though it was a tad messy, and I had to attach the pieces quickly.

I've used Gorilla glue on bosses that were broken in a fall. Followed the directions carefully and clamped for several hours. This seemed to work but I was replacing the cowling anyway so I can't tell how the repair will hold up to on-road use.

Gel epoxy is the strongest and easiest to work with in my experience.  The bond ends up stronger than the original:

I have always used a plastic welding system called plastifix ... there are a couple videos of me repairing a ninja 250 cowl on youtube under callmeburton if you wanted to see what is involved.

You likely would need to repaint after if you wanted an original strength bond.
