While I see the particular Oset thread (I cross posted there in the event anyone is still there) has been dormant for some time, I'll ask the questions anyway..

Im looking at buying a used (2016) Oset 16.0 for my daughter who has been riding a PW50.

Anything I should look for or look out for when buying one of these used?

How long of a life do the batteries have (in terms of years if kept up)?

Do Oset's have "titles"? I once heard they didnt have VIN numbers so no titles... which I find strange as they arent cheap.

Any advice is much appreciated.

thanks

I bought an 16 oset for my son a few years ago.  It was a 2006 model I believe. The thing is built like a tank.  The newer ones have all disc brakes, this one had a rear "band" style brake. Worked fine not an issue.  The prior owner had removed the throttle governor so I had to teach my son throttle control as they do have a bit of torque off the line.  I redid the whole thing with lithium batteries to save weight and then the motor controller burned out.  I replaced this with a similar one that I got off the interwebs for like $40.  Works well and my boy is happy.

Not sure if that helps or not but if you have specific questions I can help you out.  I am going to see my bike in the fall as my boy has grown out of it.  Perhaps you are interested in buying it then?

Hey! Another Great Company that Sell Similar Products is Kuberg. I personally Just bought a Kuberg Trial Hero and let me tell you, the im very impressed with the Build Quality and the overall Riding Experience. What I love the most is that it also has the option in which you can Control the Power of the Bike on your Phone as well as the Parameter that you want the Bike to go. Both are Good Products but in my Opinion the Kuberg is the Best in almost every aspect especially when it comes to the power (Kuberg - $1699/3000W with 2Hr battery life) vs (Oset - $2,099/800w) and the Price.
