I was looking at the "75% or up to £500" grant awarded by OLEV for the home installation of a (usually) 7kW charging point for an EV and wondered if electric motorcycles were eligible?

When looking at the government descriptions of the grant, it appears to be restricted to a list of cars only. Motorcycles are not on that list.

I don't mean the "up to £1500" off the purchase of a new EV which of course Zero bikes fit under but the actual home charging infrastructure.

Have any of you without a separate electric car been able to get the grant or did you have to foot the entire bill yourself? I know it isn't a lot but if someone offered me £500 off a charge point I would take it in a second!

This is the list I am talking about... https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/electric-vehicle-homecharge-scheme-eligible-vehicles

I have just had a response from the PodPoint installers and they say that at the moment, only the specific models of car that are on the official list get the grant. The rest of us have to pay it ourselves in full.

I can see the point... for a given amount of grant money they want to get as many petrol cars off the roads as possible.
