Incredibles 2
« on: December 24, 2018, 08:27:20 PM »

FINALLY saw the Pixar movie "The Incredibles 2" last night.  I thought it was pretty cool that they gave Elastigirl an electric motorcycle BUT I thought it was hilarious that they still gave it a definite "four stroke roar" as she tore through traffic with it.

One of these days they'll get it right.

I wouldn't count on it. How many movies do you hear tire screeches on dirt or at low speeds? They don't care if it's accurate, they just want it exciting.

Same reason they show close ups of characters shifting or using the e-brake in situations where there's no reason to do either. It's shot to be exciting and stimulating, and silence just doesn't do that the same way.

There are points in the scene where the bike sounds more like a futuristic electric vehicle and other times where it sounds like a gas engine. It's kind of funny if you listen for it.
