I recently discovered that on my 2015 FX, I can take both hands off the bars and it coasts along forward rock solid. I don't think I've ever had a motorcycle that stable (PC800 headshake, anyone?) and even my bicycles need a little input through the saddle to stay on course when "no-handing". Now, I have never ridden dirt bikes, so is this a dirt bike thing or a Zero thing?

Well, I can do that on my sportbikes, and dirtbikes easily. maybe your old one needed steering head bearings?

There are a lot of factors that can cause instability, you've got a quality bike probably with low'ish miles so it doesn't surprise me, still a good feeling though to have a bike that weighs so little with so much torque with good stability.  I remember riding a friends Ninja 600 back in the 80's and came over a hill leaned over a little and man, that thing head shook so bad it pushed the pistons back in the calipers, I didn't know what the heck was going on...  That being said, I had a 2013 Tiger 800XC that had a front tire slightly out of balance, I took my hands off the bars once and it started misbehaving, I grabbed the bars pretty quick, it was a new bike with no miles to speak of (less than 1k), so yeah, don't get too much into riding with no hands, unless you're texting of course:)
