I noticed most of the J1772 adapters I've seen for the zero (NOT the Charge Tank) plug into the C13 receptacle on the frame and they all say it doesn't reduce charging time, it just allows you to use the public charging stations to get a top up if a standard Level 1 110 volt outlet isn't available.

Why can't an adapter be made that splits the power from the J1772... twelve amps to the C13 receptacle, and the remaining power to the auxiliary charging port (where you'd normally plug in one or more Quick chargers)?  Wouldn't that effectively reduce the charging time?

You need to plug in direct current into the auxiliary port. So you would need to plug the J1772 into a charger that you carry on the bike and then plug that into the auxiliary port.

AHA!  Okay, now I understand.  Not so simple then.  Thanks.

For extra credit, mentioning here the stock onboard charger accepts AC and DC. While 100+Vdc is not something you'd want to play around without careful attention to safety precautions, you could plug the onboard into the AUX port and run the charger that way. This has been useful to rescue charge another bike, when a small amount of added range means the difference between pushing a bike and riding it to a proper source of charging. Not related at all to J1772 though.
