NOTICE: My bad - it turns out the KTM E-Rides are not available in the US at all.  I talked to a KTM dealer a while ago who told me he was expecting them, and a number of US KTM dealers' Web sites all showed the E-Rides as available - turns out it was some kind of glitch where KTM pushed out E-Ride pages to all US dealers' sites, then took them down afterwards. 

Sorry for the confusion.

I just asked my dealer and they said they have no information whether the freeride-e will make it to the USA or not.  I would think by now they should know.  I was looking forward to it.

Apparently they won't, at least not yet. After seeing them listed for sale on multiple US KTM-dealer Web sites, I figured they'd finally been released here.  I was wrong - sorry.

The Freeride E-XC will be coming to the USA in July! We just sent in our dealer agreement and order for the bike and signed up for training. The bikes should be shipping around July/August if you would like to get your name on one. It sounds like availability will be extremely limited for this Pilot program so don't wait too long to get your name on one of these.

I am still waiting for the BMW C-Evolution scooter to arrive in the U.S., which is what BMW said would happen this year.  So far I haven't heard another peep about the scooter being sold here.     Maybe KTM's action will motivate them to join the electric-powered two wheel club.
