THIS IS NOT A RACING EVENT.

I mean, the races are, but this announcement is about *riding together to spectate*

Looks like spectating is free!

Some of us will probably meet up in south San Jose, go from there.  I'm looking at a 100 minute avoid-freeways route by Uvas Rd., resevoirs, Hecker Pass, Mt. Madonna, and some awesome roads recommended by Liza Miller.

Meet at the solar chargers at 5750 Almaden Expy, San Jose, CA 95118, https://api.plugshare.com/view/location/7989

Pedals up at 10 AM.  Come early if you need to charge up before departure.  DM me if you are interested in finding a breakfast place, since I'll definitely need an hour's charge before we go.  And also if you'd like to make route recommendations or suggest rendevous en route locations.

I'll bring my 912 again and camp above turn 5 and 6 near a kids playpark ... it's just the cold winds some might not like. I won't be setting the slowest lap time for conversions this time.

On the other hand, if family comes to watch we may stay in Santa Cruz then drive out early in the morning.

Passengers in cars are allowed! So, bring your helmet, sign the event liability waivers, get a passenger wrist strap, and then ask any nice EV owner lining up if you can go for a ride during their on-track session. It's a fun experience to share.

I'm going.

Any tips on doing REFUEL on a Zero?

I imagine that a Zero can get quite hot.  Do people bring fans or other ways to cool the motor, battery and controller down?

Oh, is this the Porsche retrofitted to have four Zero SR motors?  Luke said the acceleration is brutal.

Just a bump here.  Still on.

Locations and everything the same?  Dialing this into my plan-o-meter, and then going!   I'll be traveling from Reno-Tahoe area. If anyone would like me to join up with them along the way, then make it known.

Sounds like there's going to be some charging and SCv2 consulting and breakfast starting at 8 AM, and pedals up at 10 AM sharp, or maybe before if everyone who's said they're coming are accounted for.

Count is 4 right now, and my phone number is 735-4115 in the SF area code for last-minute coordination, text preferred.  (Yes, you'll have to look up the area code, I'm not going to make it too easy for the spambots to get it.)
(Yes, you can text me while I'm riding, it'll probably come out my earbud.)

Route will be something like: https://goo.gl/maps/AvVCujwsk8S2 or https://goo.gl/maps/Gx7754zn35w

I.e. Uvas, Hecker Pass, etc., 75 miles with some great scenic roads and mountain twisties, crossing the Santa Cruz mountains at the south end.

We got started late, but we got to hang out with a lot of cool e-motorcycle aficionados, mostly Zero and Hollywood Electrics, but some others too, and a lot of EV car people.  Hope you are getting better, Brian, and that you get home safely David and Shadow.

(I also learned how inaccurate SoC can be today.)

Yep I'm about 630mi travelled since 2am yesterday, and another 100mi to go once this battery cools down to take a charge. Thanks for co-ordinating the ride down there.

That's an intense ride schedule! I'm glad we managed to make this work.
