Part Number Help

2016 Zero SR

part number for the cover/plug where the Cigarette lighter would go
part number for charge-level LED rubber plug

It sure would be nice if the consumers could access the parts breakdown to find the correct part numbers

You'll have to contact your dealer or take measurements and look for aftermarket plugs.
Zero doesn't list part numbers or offer directly to the customer.

Therein lays the problem. My dealer is a 5-1/2 drive one way. They are having problems finding the part numbers. When I call Zero they say to call the dealer. Have been chasing this for a month now and am no closer to ordering these two plugs than I was from day one.

I am planning to add a cigarette lighter adapter to mine, I can then part with that plug. How soon do you need it ?

I don't know if those are available separately from Zero, which may explain the dealer's difficulties; there seems to be a cover for the accessory outlet (which it appears you don't have? I can't tell from the photo), and I believe the other cover may be part of (i.e., included with) the battery assembly?

On the other hand, one of these covers may work for the battery plug:

... and eBay has some lighter covers, not sure if they're really what you're looking for though:

I'll mail you mine - no worries - if you're in the USA. I purchased and installed the official accessory socket.

Aside:  I was thinking about replacing the official accessory socket with something else like a MagCode Power Port (ebay) which is meant as a drop-in replacement for 12v accessory on marine and automotive instrument panels. The cost to import MagCode assemblies is pretty high to the USA though.

I ordered a couple plugs from McMaster-Carr Supply Company - should be here today - I'll let you know if they worked.
Sure would be nice if Zero had schematics available to the consumers/owners like my Honda does

Nice part finds! Yay for Eastern Beaver and McMaster! I can add them to the wiki 24 hours from now when I'm home again, if no one gets to it first.

Michael just texted me. He found your parts. He laughed that shipping will probtain cost more than the partstandard.

Email him and he will set up up,  michael@onanymoto.com

Just received the plugs from McMaster-Carr
Part number 9750K25 Fits 7/8" hole for the Charge Level LED - plug fits but it's a little hard to get in and out, needs to be made of rubber. This one is flexible plastic
Part number 9750K27 Fits 1-3/32" hole, for the hole where the cigarette lighter would go - fits perfect.
You have to call them and ask if the have any loose plugs or else you have to buy a package of 100. They had a few loose ones for .15 each and sent them regular mail

I added the BMS fit to the wiki, after doing a little more browsing:

Here is an option that I did on my 2016 SR for the Charge Level LED. Every time I charge my bike I remove the existing plug to check the LED lights to make sure it is fully charged and not balancing the cells.
This is a Rigid See-Through Plastic Plug from McMaster-Carr. I removed the snap mechanisms and added a little silicone around the outer edge and inserted it into the hole. Now I can see the status without removing the plug.
Hope this helps everyone

One is called the "12v accessory cover" and the other is a "battery case cover"

Hope that helps!
