Front brake disk - looking for replace part
« on: August 29, 2021, 02:34:55 AM »

Hello,
I am going to replace my front disk (ZERO FX 2014- Nissin 2 piston hydraulic, 240x4.5 mm disc)
maybe someone knows about a model that its possible to install not from Zero?
its possible to make the bike stop in less distance with better disks?

Thanks! :)

Looks like EBC makes rotors for the FX:

As for improving your brake performance.
Rotors made of iron will have a higher coefficient of friction vs those made from stainless steel.
With that said I think your best bet would be to look for brake pads made of a different compound. Moving to a sintered metal pad will give you more maximum brake performance. The trade off is they will be noisier and don't work as well in the wet.
Looks like AF1 might have some options https://www.af1racing.com/2014-2020-FX-FXS-Spare-Parts

People often overlook tires and suspension in regards to brake distance. A lot of times a bike is capable of providing more stopping power than tire can handle. In addition if your front forks are not keeping the front tire firmly planted on the road your braking distance will be affected.
