Was tracking the elmoto forum and thought I would share some news and clarify the mis-understanding.

The TTX02, The world's first production superbike born from the Isle of Man TTXGP will be unveiled at the SEMA show in Las Vegas in 4 weeks time.

Based on the Agni X01, that won the TTXGP, the TTX02 is significantly improved and crucially is now in its own official chassis supplied direct from a major factory.

The idea behind the bike is to give teams a proven platform for next year's season of competition and an easier time to get to the grid.

Only 50 bikes are expected to be built and will be with the customers by March/April 2010 in time for next year's racing season. This in no way is meant to compete with teams or to turn TTXGP into a one make series. TTXGP remains open to all. The provision of TTX02 simply gives people a starting point. Asking people to build a bike at this stage to enter the TTXGP is daunting so we wanted to take that away.

The chassis is road legal with a VIN though the bike itself is not sold as ready for the road. It is purely a motorsport product. Though we will be able to supply you with a separate kit that can make the bike road legal if you want to. The bike will ship with a complete wiring loom for road legal use.

The complete rolling bike will be about US$40,000.

The kits are being finalised. There will be several flavours depending on your budget, needs and frame that you have to work with. You need to provide your own rolling chassis for the kit to work with. The real benefit of the kit is that spares and support will be available at trackside during TTXGP meetings.

As to next year's events and rules. We are working on it. Trust me when I say that we are not the delay. Anyway will hopefully be resolved soon.
