Zero Dealer Customer Service
« on: May 20, 2016, 05:44:33 AM »

A review of dealerships by mystery shoppers - including Zero dealers.  The report is just too big to attach.

https://www.piedpiperpsi.com/press/motorcycle-powersport-news-251.htm

"Electric motorcycle brand, Zero, included in the study for the first time, finished with a PSI score of 109, right on the industry average. Areas where Zero salespeople were most likely to outperform the industry included offering a test ride, mentioning maintenance program and discussing features unique to brand.  Areas where Zero salespeople were likely to underperform the industry included asking about trade-ins and asking for the sale. Zero salespeople were also more likely to suggest that shoppers consider a different brand instead of Zero."

I have three Zero dealers I have interacted with in person (just emailed Hollywood Electrics).
All are my favorites.

"Zero Customer Service', reads as negative, though not as scary as the government calling for  "Zero Motorcycle Deaths".

The part about them pushing to buy another bike should be a major concern.  My old thread asking what it took to be a Zero dealer was based on this fact.  I think the best place to sell these bikes is somewhere with no other bikes around.  Like Hollywood Electrics does.  I wanted to sell them out of a high end bicycle shop in a high end town.  Its too hard to compete with a $9000 sport bike next to a $16000 electric unless they just have to have electric.  The only upside is of course the maintenance shop but they do so little on a Zero I think a small corner could work.  You'd never have more than one bike at a time anyway.  Also by August who's going to be picking up a 2016?
People will wait to see what the 17's will have and only pick up a 16 fairly discounted.  They are great bikes but it's an education as well as a sell and a salesman who wants a commission  wants a quick sale and on to the next bike.
