New paintjob - Zero SR 16
« on: April 05, 2017, 11:15:13 AM »

Hey there

Because some of you were curious, here some more pics of my painted SR. I have her back 2 days ago and didn't find direct sunlight yesterday while making some pictures. So i'll post some more..

I dont have the color code, all i can say is that it's a 3-layer paintjob. Its near the candy ime green that kawasaki offers (watch out, they have a lot of diffrent ones that have the same name)

Kashography,

Nice paint job.
I just sold my ZRX-1200 R Eddy Lawson replica, I know how the green can infiltrate your system :)

haha yeah, i really like kawasakis green tones (and disliked zeros plastic-red..)

@ rider7
Here a photo that fits your bike declaration "100% windcharged". Took tha photo yesterday on my first 300+km ride in a day (about 200 miles). Even though i did not drive till 13.00 (1pm). Thanks to the new charge-tank is this finally possible to cross the boarder to france and get back:). Next goal 400km in a day

Hah.... cool picture.

Where is that?

I was born in Düsseldorf. Moved around all over Germany and rode everyday since I was 18.

I haven't been back to Germany for almost 20 years, but I have read that Germany is one of the leaders in renewables in Europe.

Do you have a lot of chargeing stations ?

PV and windturbines as far as the eye can see... Almost every barn is covered in PV.

Not that many charging stations though, but that is also changing now the German car makers have finally seen the light.

Thanks Erasmo,

it's about time.

Interesting that Germany has PV although I remember, sun is not necessarily abundant in good old Germany.

I suppose the units are super efficient but also tons of them to make up for the lack of sunlight.

Leading in renewable energy will be Norway, followed soon by Austria ( >75% of total consuption ).
PV in Germany is an investment-case, they pay soo much for the kWh of PV-energy, you deliver to the power-net, you get more interrest for your money than anywhere else and with low risk. In Austria, you just get back the investment within 10 years, no interrests. But it lowers your cost for energy extremely, e.g. with 4kWp PV I am down from >6.000 kWh/year to ~2.000 kWh per year consumption of my home. Additional 8 kWp on the carport roof are sold for appx. € 150.-- per month to the power provider.  8)

That ist not the truth anymore.

Since september 2015 you cant get more than 12,70 ct/kWh  for your deliver to the net.

Sorry offtopic.

Are you concerned with how the new paint job might affect resale value?

Yeah, i think the resale value will be bigger  :P Almost everyone i've spoken to that owns a SR in Switzerland does not like the red "color". Even for the painted 17 models,.. the yellow got awesome! the new grey is awesome! The red stays ugly (dont get offended, i just don't like red ;D )

Is there really a market for used e-motorcycles in Switzerland? I have seen that some guys tried to sell a Zero in .at but nobody was interrested.

a market is the wrong word.. but zero sold 50 motorcycles in the tiny Switzerland last year. I could imagine that not everyone has the cash to buy one new, so there could be a little used market

I say leave the tank red and paint a white plus symbol if you really want to be patriotic.   ;)  So Ive actually always wanted to visit Switzerland, it seems like an awesome country.  I'm from the US, where should I go if I don't really like skiing per se, but I do like beer, guns, good food and scenery and obviously motorcycles?   :P
