Presumably those 60 or so pounds of batteries are for the camera rig. Pity they couldn't tap into the bike battery for that.

The bike was built by the stuntman's company, Covert Camera Bikes.

Finally - Something to do with the left side of our body... run a camera rig.

I think foot controls would be better suited to raising and lowering.

Definitely pick up the Deadpool Blu-Ray. It's hilarious and there are some excellent special features. That snippet about the zero is a couple minutes in a 1:20:00 long documentary about the movie.
