Poor American Company to handle past customers and promoters of their products.

I am looking for a dead battery for a ZERO 2011 DS.  Looking to rebuild  the pack for my running 2011 DS.   But I don't want the downtime. If I had a dead battery to dismantle that would be better.   I've found som pictures online about the break down and repare of a 2009.  But ulitmatly it has not answered my questions about the BMS.

So again, in short. I'm looking for a Dead Zero 2011 DS battery.

Hey David, one thing to look out for with picking up a dead battery for a rebuild is that the battery might have gone dead because its BMS died. I have 3(!) 2010 batteries, two of which 'died' and won't charge. I presumed the cells had failed and I could salvage the BMS to build a new pack. Lo and behold, I discover the donor BMS is a brick, apparently--doesn't light up, and charger doesn't see the new battery pack. I have another donor to disassemble, but am guessing it will be the same. So it's time to look at getting a new BMS from somewhere, and my awesome little project just got significantly more complicated. Good luck.

Need to make an addition/correction to my reply so I'm not propagating bad information: on further examination I am less certain that my two BMS's are bad. I pulled the known good BMS from the pack that's still working and put it on the pack I'm building and got the same result that I did with the suspect BMS, failure to charge. And vice versa put the suspect BMS on the 'good' zero pack and at first blush it appears to function, in that the charger sees the pack and goes into charging mode.
