For the show and on an ICE bike it's a pure Myth Busters "look at what we can do" moment. The heat, the exhaust, the back end opening up to get off makes this bubble a waste of time. I thought it was funny that the whole thing was to improve it's MPG to get emissions down when the electrics start out with zero.
Yes I saw Terry's Vetter bike and it looked 1000 times better than the bubble for sure and I know it preformed better.
For speed records and distance records it's a no brainer better way to go than a stock Zero.
But on the street in the real world something like that is just too much.
Sport fairings look great and don't take away too much of the motorcycle riding experience of the "open" feel and some wind to remind you your not in a car. But your not getting super improved range.
I feel the "super" aero option is like the "ride at 15 mph" option it gets me more range but at a cost of the fun motorcycle ride I wanted in the first place.
A streamline back end to smooth turbulence is good, a sport front end to get the air moving up and around is fine but then you have to crouch down.
The next step is cover the sides then might as well have a roof and boom before you know it your in a two wheeled car with one seat and no trunk.
It just seems to be the logical path of aero = better then more aero = best.
What "best" do we really want?
