orange county douchebags
« on: August 15, 2009, 09:51:08 PM »

So the OCC boys jumped on the bandwagon and made a "million dollar" electric chopper.  The first in the world they claim.  What does this mean?  That all of us don't exist?  Who will be the first to sue these idiots?  Do they not have a legal team that checks before making claims?  I can appreciate the attention that it will bring to out industry, but to claim the 1st, is not cool.-Blindspot Cycles

chillax, any publicity is better than no publicity, It should generate interest in the electric motorcycling world, and people will find out for themselves that OC is definitely not the first.

Yeah, they are not the first, should not be hard to realize that with a few google searches...

Blindspot, so this is you?

That is how OCC should have done it. You can see the batteries and motor.

I agree with Bogan, people will realize it's all being done with electric. I think all the firsts are taken in existing mc genre's. Lets see some innovation in technology! :D OCC should help bring you guys some visibility in the long run.

I keep posting on twitter to @smartchopper to prove those claims. I don't think they have any idea who I am.... pity, I'll be one of the first to disprove his claims.

No answers thus far to Ah capacity, type of batteries, motor.....

0-60mph in <6s is good, but I doubt it at 650lbs and that gearing.... and 100mph? yeah right. 60 miles range is a MAYBE depending on the batteries in it.

Why the hell did they use lead to begin with? I mean seriously.

650lb, shit yeh, thatll easily do 100mph, just throw it out the back of a plane :P You would think a '1 mil' bike would at least have lifepo4's in it. Might have to youtube the ep or something if its up, see what they were up to.

I also love that you can see the batteries in some shots and they say Die Hard on them.  Wow, those must have cost a bundle.  All my friends and relatives, are sending me articles on this now, and I have to laugh.  I cant wait until OCT.22 to see the episode. All the industry blogs are bashing them too for the "worlds first electric"  claim.  You have to be pretty ballsy, researched, or stupid to claim worlds first anything.  I am betting on the latter. Thanks for the publicity though guys.  Hey if we keep building our bikes, maybe someday we can be the first too!
