A few 2013 bikes on Ebay 2 DS and one XU
« on: October 28, 2015, 09:32:08 AM »

For anyone looking for a cheaper starter bike than the improved 2016 models just search Ebay for "Zero Motorcycle" of course.  They are not as nice as the new ones but a pretty solid bikes just like the one I have.  They appear to be reserved bid so I don't know what they will really take for them.  Good luck they really are fun bikes.

Ok I saw what has to be the 38 mile 11.4 DS also on Cycle Trader for $6400.  Its at a MI dealer so real nice deal on that one, cheap as a Dr650.

thanks for the lead... now delete this so no one else bids against me! :P
haha... i kid i kid.. it is a sweet deal from the sounds of it. I'm a little torn about the new stuff in later bikes (better shocks, tires, ABS, ability to add power/charger tank, what am I forgetting?  better motor tech?  I'm referring to 15's mostly.. but some changes for 14 too I'm sure).
Any issues with winter riding the 13's?

Just keep it garaged and on a charger when not using it.

I had my bike loose throttle response once it got at 0C and -2C but I haven't heard of anyone else having that issue. Creating a cover for the controller cooling plate fins corrected this behavior.

I have ridden it down to -10F with no issues after that. And even at 32 degress and raining or snowing ;)

that $6500 price on cycletraders somehow translated to a $7500 reserve on ebay.  I called them and they said they'd call me right back.. that was an hour or so ago.  I wasn't even 100% sure I wanted it at 6500, but at 7500.. I'm out.

$7500 for a 2013 11.4 DS is an insanely good price ... A year ago they were going for 10-11k for the same bike 0_o ... what is your objection to getting it?

And now you can get a 14 for 10k.
7500 isn't bad at all if that was that actual price. Tac on shipping and deal fee and it's suddenly 8500(ish)

Ebay gets their 10% or more cut so that's why it's more going through Ebay.   If I didn't already have the exact same bike I wouldn't have posted this I would have set up shipping for myself.  Hell the battery would cost you 9 or 10 grand.  If it comes with the 2 year warranty you can't beat that deal.

I came across the eBay ads without the post, and was almost hoping no one would bid then offer something outside of eBay...they are being seen and bid on, so that won't happen.
